Sicily is a land I always learn something new about: hidden corners and light scenarios I ignored and didn’t expect to exist are always there waiting for me. Every story, every trip, every celebration is an opportunity to discover something new, to be left astonished by unknown wonders. This time I travelled to the south east region of the island, where the magnificent palaces and the charming baroque reveals its greatest heights, embraced by the lush Iblei hills.
Martha and Tomek’s wedding took place in the breathtaking Dimora delle Balze, an ancient restored Sicilian farm located near the towns of Noto and Palazzolo Acreide. The ceremony was held under the trees by the entrance to the venue, that made the perfect backdrop with its graven stone doorway. Beyond the doorway, where the reception took place, guests found themselves embraced by the outstanding view of the surrounding hills and rugged countryside.
